There is a lot of good things happening this month for me. The summer is now over and in a few days my entire family will be getting back on with their usual routines. This summer holiday has been really fun and I always enjoy spending time with my family. I’ll miss all of us hanging out together. It’s always good when the school holidays come around.

I know I’m officially an adult because tomorrow I’m getting a new mattress and (shamelessly) I’m really excited about it! I bought a new bed a couple of months ago and I’ve been waiting patiently and the time has finally come to put a new mattress on it. The only things I get excited about now is new furniture and new clothes. That’s normal right?

Next week me and Tiegan have plans to go to London to listen to Josh Savage, a singer/songwriter from Winchester, who I found through Stef and Hannah from The Michalaks. We both really like his music so we decided we would go down to London to have a listen. I’m thinking of doing a whole blog post on this day out so keep an eye out for that. You can find his YouTube channel here, I like his most recent cover of Dakota by The Stereophonics. (Who I just bought tickets for their tour in December.) I really recommend you give him a listen.

After that I’m starting my new job. I’m kind of nervous and I have an induction week in Bedford with the academy that runs all the training, since it is an apprenticeship. I usually get anxiety about these sorts of things but so far I’m only excited and really looking forward to getting stuck in.

After that, I start the job and I’ll be entering the adult world officially. Me and Fran from are hopefully going to meet up at some point during that week, which I am pretty excited about since she lives near by.

And then finally on the 30th me and Tiegan are going to see James Bay. It feels like it has been ages since I bought the tickets and I’ve had them sitting around waiting to be taken. Fran is also going to be there, which is why we are meeting up before hand and then hopefully we will meet up again for the gig!

What are your plans for the month?

Writing For Myself.

Back when I started blogging a few years ago, I started writing my blog out of boredom. I love writing and I have always loved reading blogs so I just wanted to give it a go. My blogging was inconsistent and didn’t really have a theme. I’ve been blogging for six months now, fairly consistently despite my recent 2 month absence. I have still been writing up posts just not posting them.

The reason being related to a post I wrote last week about being more honest  and I briefly said that the lack of honesty is why I hadn’t posted in a while. When I started this blog back up this year I knew that I wanted to talk about the things I love. And I have, but it still doesn’t feel true to who I am. To be completely honest with you, I got sucked into checking my stats all the time to see if people were actually reading. Over the last two months I have been thinking a lot about what I want to post and who I actually want to read it (not that I don’t appreciate those who have read my blog thus far, believe me, I do).

I would like to be able to write posts on subjects which I am passionate about, and I am passionate about a lot of different things and I have a lot of opinions. I would like to be able to write about them confidently and share with my readers what I think. I’ve always been afraid of writing posts like these because I don’t want people to think that I think I am always right or that I think my views are the only views that matter. I want to feel free to write about the things I love, the things which have helped me and made me who I am. The things that I believe could be helpful in someway to someone else. I don’t want to write posts which people are only reading to fill their time. I want to write posts which have something you can take away with you and use in your life. Or at least think about.

So from here on out, my posts will be a little different. If you don’t enjoy them then feel free to unfollow. I will still be talking about beauty products occasionally because I love to! But I will also be talking about things that I think are important. I know not everyone will agree with me. That’s perfectly OK. In fact that’s great! I want to learn what YOU think and what YOU know.

Sunday Shortlist

I don’t think that I have ever seen something like this done before but I have decided to create a shortlist each week on a Sunday, of all my favourite moments from the previous week. At the end of the month I will pick my top 3 of the entire month and go into detail about why it was one of my favourite moments. I think this will be a fun way for me to reflect on the positive moments in my life and focus on my psyche as I often find myself getting in a rut about all the negative stuff that really doesn’t matter!

Getting my first ever comment on a blog post. This was so exciting! It was quite strange having evidence that someone had actually read my post and liked it!

My Bohomoon order arrived as you may or may not know from Friday’s post, I am obsessed with my new rings from a little online store called Bohomoon! Having them delivered made me a very happy girl. As most deliveries do.

My niece had her first encounter with a spider. Which might sound a little strange but it was such a sweet moment. She was so interested and curious, I love watching her learn and explore!

Spending time with my younger sister. She is one of my favourite people to spend time with. We are always silly together and we don’t hang out enough! She started school again this week so it means we won’t really see each other.

Having 3 days off work, in a row! It’s always nice to have some time off, I really needed it and it actually helped me to focus on my little blog. If I hadn’t had those days off, I probably wouldn’t be writing this right now.

Beautifully Boho

So this week I had the most beautiful delivery and honestly, it has been the best part of my week so far. Who doesn’t love treating themselves?

I was so excited to get this delivery because as I said in a my previous post about my new moonstone ring I had ordered some more and I really couldn’t wait to blog about them. If you want to see that post click here. I am so pleased with this order. Firstly can we just talk about the packaging?

It comes in a shiny purple envelope! Not only this but each item comes in its own little bag. I do love me some good packaging, but what I really loved is that you can see how much Bohomoon care about their products.

Okay, so onto the actual jewellery. I ordered 4 items, firstly this beautiful Nellie Elephant Cuff. It’s so pretty and I love the detail. I was worried that this wasn’t going to fit me very well because I have really tiny wrists but I was pleasantly surprised. It fits me perfectly and it doesn’t fall off which is the problem I usually have with cuff bracelets.

This Adonia Om Amulet Ring is probably one of my all time favourite rings. It has the most beautiful detailing and I literally never want to take it off! It’s adjustable so I had to tighten it a little bit but after I had done, it fitted perfectly. I am so in love with this ring. I can’t talk about it enough.

I could not wait to have this Wishbone Midi Ring. I had wanted one for ages and had been looking on etsy for such a long time. The problem I kept having was that I could only find it for £7 or more! I just wasn’t willing to spend that much on a ring! I was so happy to find it on Bohomoon’s Website for just £5. When it arrived I was a little disappointed because it doesn’t really fit me as a midi ring. (there are no size options) It does fit as a normal ring though so I will still be getting wear out of it and it is still beautiful.

Lastly, the Harmony Amulet Ring in turquiose. I love this ring. I don’t think it’s for everyone though because when I asked my family (neices, sister and my mum) they all said they weren’t too keen on it. That doesn’t change my mind on it though. It is a little big and although it is adjustable even at the smallest it’s a little loose. It fits on my thumb and I wear it with a smaller ring stacked on top to prevent it from falling off (a little tip for you there). It goes so well with the Adonia Om Amulet ring and I love pairing them.

Overall, I love all of my jewellry from Bohomoon and I am exceptionally please with the service. They kept me updated with emails and it really did not take long at all. They even featured my instagram photo on their instagram and their website! To follow them click here.

Wisdom Wednesday

Every Wednesday I have decided that I might just create a little reoccurring blog post because, who doesn’t love a good blogging routine? Saying that though, not all of these posts are going to follow the same theme. They could vary from quotes from others, life tips or even little bits of wisdom from me. I’m calling it Wisdom Wednesday.
So every Wednesday you will be seeing this lovely, very clever and obviously original blog title and (hopefully) reading an interesting blog post. To start with I decided that I would post a little wise life quote.
True isn’t it? I think this quote is a good place to start. Not just for this new Wednesday theme but just for life in general. I only recently decided to fully commit to this blog and when there are so many great blogs out there it is easy to get sucked in to wanting to do just as great as them. This quote reminds me that everyone works hard to get where they are, nothing comes easy as much as we all wish it would. It reminds me that I just need to keep doing what I’m doing. Producing content that I love and just enjoying myself doing it. I’m not usually a perfectionist but I feel like I need to be to be a good blogger. I know that’s not true and that goes for everyone. If you enjoy what you do and you believe in it, eventually others will support you too.
